Hooray for the SBA

Ever heard of the Small Business Association? Well if you haven't, today may be the day that changes the course of your future. The SBA is one of the most valuable resources for Small Businesses. Surprisingly enough, most people don't even utilize the free services offered by the SBA. I have the SBA website bookmarked and refer to it before I make any major decisions affecting my business.

The SBA offers several funding options for Small Businesses in addition to free guidance and advice. The association is backed by the federal government so you can rely on the legitimacy of information you receive from them. I have also found that the SBA is very helpful in locating start-up funds in the form of a grant or loan.

There are several programs in place which will ensure that you will qualify for some kind of funding. Even if you know everything about starting a business(yes, thats sarcasm.lol), you will still want to visit the SBA's website. I guarantee that there is something useful for you there. In addition to the tons of free information offered on the website, you can also visit one of your local SBA offices and get free business consultations, financing help, etc... Some business owners pay thousands of dollars for services that the SBA offers absolutely free.

Of course, there are some things that the SBA will not get involved in for legal reasons (such as making a decision for you, or industry specific things), that's when you may need to spend money for an attorney or some kind of specialist. But for general business concerns, always check the SBA first to see if its something that they can help you with before you run off and waste your money. Be frugal with your capital, you will wish you had it when your business falls on hard times. You want to spend less and make more and the SBA is on your side in that regard.
